CS2 Bind Generator

Build Counter-Strike 2 keybinds without memorising commands — jumpthrow, clear decals, drop, buy binds, practice binds or your own custom command. Load a preset, add binds, then copy the commands or download a binds.cfg. Save your setups in the browser.

How to use your binds

  1. Open the CS2 console (enable it in Settings → Game, then press ~).
  2. Paste the bind lines and press Enter — or save them in a binds.cfg in your csgo/cfg folder and run exec binds.
  3. Put exec binds in your autoexec so they load every launch.

The binds most CS2 players actually use

You don't need a hundred keybinds — a handful of good ones cover 95% of situations. These are the ones worth setting up first:

  • Jumpthrow bind — throws a grenade at the exact top of your jump for consistent lineups. See the dedicated jumpthrow bind guide.
  • Buy binds — one key each for your common buys (e.g. rifle + armor + kit, or a full "force buy") so you're set up before the round timer eats your money.
  • Clear/quick switch — a bind to quickly switch to your knife and back (faster weapon swaps) or drop the bomb on a key.
  • Grenade keys — bind smoke, flash, molotov and HE to separate keys instead of cycling with the mouse wheel, so you never throw the wrong nade.
  • Voice / radio — a dedicated push-to-talk key and quick radio commands keep comms clean.
  • Inspect / display — small quality-of-life binds like weapon inspect or toggling the net graph.

How CS2 binds work

Every bind follows the same pattern in the console: bind <key> "<command>". For example bind "f" "use weapon_flashbang". To run several commands from one key you chain them with semicolons or use an alias:

  • Single command: bind "x" "drop"
  • Multiple commands: bind "m" "buy vesthelm; buy defuser"
  • Toggle with an alias: handy for things like a "hold to walk then release" or a grenade-clear jumpthrow — the generator above writes the alias for you.

Keep your custom binds in a config file and exec it from your autoexec so they survive updates and reinstalls. Avoid overwriting core movement keys unless you know what you're replacing.

Handy CS2 bind command reference

A quick cheat sheet of the commands people bind most often — drop any of these into the pattern bind "<key>" "<command>":

  • +jump / +duck — jump and crouch on custom movement keys.
  • use weapon_c4; drop — drop the bomb fast when a teammate calls for it.
  • use weapon_flashbang, weapon_smokegrenade, weapon_molotov, weapon_hegrenade — one key per nade so you never mis-throw.
  • slot12 — quick-switch to the knife (great on a mouse button for faster swaps).
  • buy vesthelm; buy defuser — armor and kit in one press on the CT side.

Bind FAQ

How do I make a jumpthrow bind in CS2?
Use an alias that presses jump and attack together, bound to one key, so the grenade releases at the peak of your jump. The generator above outputs a working jumpthrow alias — full walkthrough on our jumpthrow bind guide.
How do I bind buy commands in CS2?
Use the buy menu command names, for example bind "kp_end" "buy ak47; buy vesthelm". Pick keys you don't use mid-round (numpad works well) so a full loadout is one press.
Why don't my binds save when I restart CS2?
Binds typed in console only last the session. Save them in a .cfg file in your csgo/cfg folder and add exec <file> to your autoexec.cfg so they load every launch.
Can custom binds get me VAC banned?
No. Standard key binds and aliases use built-in console commands and are allowed. Only external scripting tools or macros that automate gameplay in banned ways carry risk — plain in-game binds do not.
